I once did a university project called “Power Exchange”, inspired by Nobuyoshi Araki’s autobiography. He described seeing a discarded prostitute's body bloodied, disheveled, pinned beneath something,on a backyard wall at dusk as a child. That image stayed with him. Later, his erotic photographs of women often felt drenched in raw carnality to me, where sex became a tool of power.
After much reading—felt like the truest description of BDSM’s core.
My illustrations often carry feminist undercurrents, though I only notice this in hindsight. Honestly, I hold no bias toward either gender.
